Spending the afternoon lounging “lagoon-side” was music to my ears as we strained our necks to hear the other vacationers discussing their plans to head on over once they threw back their Spanish coffees. Eavesdropping always has its perks.
So, we wandered over to the so called “Lagoon” to see what all the rage was about. It’s about a 30 minute walk from the Pestana Cayo Coco Beach Resort along the shore to some shallow waters and a very large rock. Go past the big rock and you’ve gone too far. Even though we had these gorgeous shallow waters to ourselves, it wasn’t exactly the Maldives-lagoon-vibes we were hoping for. Regardless it was still a neat spot to explore and definitely worth the walk to score some pics.
It was also a good excuse to get our butts up and out of those loungers and to take a walk somewhere other than the beach bar.
