Hallo Germany! Guten Tag from Munich

Schönen Tag noch! Because I know I did! Although we only had two days to spend in Germany, it was far from disappointing. In fact, it was our favourite stop along our Contiki travels. Within moments of arriving we jumped on some bikes and took a tour of the gorgeous city of Munich.

If your looking for some fun, plus maybe some physical activity and beer, Mike’s Bikes Munich bike tour is your one stop shop. I’ll just say this, I now know why it is illegal to drink and bike ride…

The Englischer Garten (German for the English Garden) one of the world’s largest public parks is filled with life and filled with care-free old men. Clothes, I soon saw for myself, are very optional.
The Eisbach surfers are also a cool site to see, and definitely easy on the eyes.
But my favourite. Litre beers. Pork knuckles. Sauerkraut.

After our not so exhausting bike ride we headed to the one and only Hofbräuhaus beer hall, where German beer maids carry 12, 1L beers at once to a single table. The bros at LA Fitness have nothing on these girls!
My best is three beers using two hands…

Prost, Prost, Prost!

  1. Ah, this definitely made me miss my trip to Germany years ago! It was such fun (though mine was wrongly sans beer).

  2. (Although the life-sized beers definitely help) it is a gorgeous country eh! One of my favourites and I'm already looking forward to getting back there a.s.a.p.

  3. Looks like such a beautiful place! and the food looks soooo good x

  4. LOL I'm going to need to snag myself one of those beers next time!
