Ciao Italy! Venice the Floating City

Bonjourno from Venice!
The dream of Italy made possible by its floating city. At long last I am back to the wanderlust city of Venice. Made up of 117 small islands separated by canals and linked by bridges, palaces perched atop of underwater poles and tightly winded streets, Venice is where the magic happens baby.
Now Venice is not complete without being serenaded by a glistening Italian man while you ride the gondola through the weaving canals.

Did someone say donuts?

And of coarse, as they say, when in Venice play with the friendly pigeons of St. Mark’s Square. Seriously I had way too much fun with these guys. That was, until our Contiki group disowned me refusing to sit next to the girl who was one pigeon away from contracting rabies…

Looking back at these pictures also takes me back to my favourite childhood Christmas movie, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Remember that pigeon lady in Central Park? Well I can’t help but think… I refuse to finish that sentence (looks down shamefully).

What a day it was, one for the books.
